Key Connections Ministries believes that valuable media resources exist, but it is difficult for those who produce those resources to effectively distribute them into the hands of national pastors and church leaders. This is where Key Connections can provide a vital link between the producers and those who can best use those resources. Over the years we have built a strong network among the national pastors and church leaders around the Arusha area and we use that network to effectively place media resources. We have partnered with several organizations providing media resources and continue to seek new resources to better fulfill our mission vision.
The Proclaimer is an electronic audio player produced by Faith Comes by Hearing. It plays the entire New Testament in the "heart" language of the nationals. Currently we are placing Proclaimers in the languages of Swahili and Maasai. A memory chip is utilized to store the audio which uses very little electrical power. The unit is powered by a solar panel, or a hand-crank dynamo. The fairly large built-in speaker can easily accommodate audiences up to 50 or more. We have placed just under 150 of these units and plan to place another 200 units in 2011.

The flipchart/Saber sets are produced by Global Recordings Network. This set consists of nine flipcharts, a Saber player, a flipchart carrying case, a Saber carrying case, and a Saber player manual. This set provides around nine hours of audio teaching supported by visual flipchart pictures. The results of the 10 test sets were very encouraging, so we are making final preparations to place another 10 sets. We are planning to place another 15 of these sets by the end of 2011.
Foundational biblical teaching and discipleship training are utilized to empower local Tanzanian pastors to better nurture their church members toward spiritual maturity. Seminars, group training sessions, and one-on-one discipleship provide the structure for this mission focus area. Thane White is busy preparing training materials and meeting with a small pastoral group. As this focus area grows, many Tanzanian pastors will be better equipped to take the gospel into all areas of Tanzania.
Along with spiritual growth, attention must also be given to the physical health issues. Tanzanians suffer from many diseases and a large percentage of those diseases are preventable. With this in mind, the bulk of our efforts will go toward preventative health care. Charlotte White has recently received her Tanzanian nursing credentials. These credentials will allow her to oversee visiting medical short-term teams and better utilize the existing medical services.
Local church based. We strive to come along side of development projects communities are already attempting to develop.
Teaches fundamentals of good business practices. Leads those involved to greater financial stability and toward experiencing the blessings of tithing.
3-Step Distribution Process
We have developed a three step distribution process to provide better placement and utilization of the media resources entrusted to us.
1. Provide appropriate training so the national pastor or church leader will be able to effectively use the media resource.
2. Place the media resource.
3. Follow up with the media resource recipient to verify expected results.
